Report of Parish Councillor Jane Burton
During the past twelve months I have become the Parish Councils representative on the
Tyndale Monument Trust Committee. My joining the committee coincided with the finalising
of the plans for the 150th celebrations which was an event that despite the weather brought
all the village together as the celebratory events were held not only on the Knoll but also in
the Chapel and the Parish Church.
My focus as a councillor is to represent parishioners without bias as necessary, and
preserve the village lifestyle whilst making sure that this is inclusive for all. I am a strong
supporter of the village shop and am pleased to see the success of the reopening of the
Chapel and introduction of many group activities for all ages and abilities, I hope that this
continues to be well supported.
